Women empowered through technology
09/06/2014
Aiming at decreasing digital gender gap in Serbia and supporting women in obtaining a powerful tool for economic, social, educational and psychological empowerment, IAN Telecentar continuously provides comprehensive IT education to women. On June 9, 2014, 22 women, single mothers and women victims of violence, have obtained ECDL Start certificates after completing a three-months training and successfully passing 4 exams. This training was a part of the project “Empowering women through education and technology” supported by International Women`s Club from Belgrade. |

In addition to IT training it included job search workshops and practical trainings for admin assistant jobs, all aimed at increasing their competencies and raising their employability.
Women trainees interested in additional education will have the opportunity to also attend web design and English language courses in autumn this year.
